Moth & Marrow is an independent game studio making Secret of the Sanctuary. This page covers this website, our newsletter, email you send us, and the internal tools we use to follow our own channels. We collect as little as we can, we never sell it, and we do not use it for advertising.
The newsletter
If you sign up for letters from the island, we keep your email address so we can write to you. The list is run by Buttondown, who store the address and send the emails. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from the list.
Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It sets cookies to tell one visit from the next. We have turned off Google signals and every advertising feature, so nothing collected here is used to show you ads. In the EU, the UK and Switzerland, no analytics cookies are set unless you allow them, and you can change your choice at any time from the link at the foot of each page.
Email to us
Mail sent to hello@mothandmarrowgames.com is received by Amazon Web Services and forwarded to the studio's inbox. We keep it only as long as the conversation needs it.
YouTube
We publish videos on our YouTube channel. An internal tool, used only by the studio, reads public statistics through YouTube API Services: subscriber and view counts for our own channel and videos, and recent public videos from horror channels so that we can watch them and reply in person. It does not ask anyone to sign in, and it collects no personal information. By watching our videos on YouTube you are using YouTube, which is covered by the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
Steam and social media
When you wishlist the game on Steam or follow us on YouTube, TikTok, Bluesky or X, those services handle your information under their own policies. We see only the totals and anything you post publicly.
Your choices
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by writing to hello@mothandmarrowgames.com. We will answer within 30 days.
Changes
If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it.
